My name is: Melissa Champion
I am an Artist who graduated with a Bachelor's of Fine Art's degree in studio art from Florida Southern College on May 1, 2010. I am currently living in Lakeland, Florida and have been attending graduate school to obtain my Master of Art Education online at the University of Florida. I am married to a culinary chef. I had skin cancer and still have to go through multiple check-ups. I had the cancer at the same time I was pregnant, my son was healthy which is a big blessing and he is now almost three years old. My dream job would be to work as an Art Professor, so that I can inspire others. I love anything to do with art, but right now my main focus is oil painting and digital photography. I would love to learn how to do realistic sculptures, but my college was more focused on drawing, painting, and graphics. I have participated in many art shows. I received an honorable mention in the photographer's forum magazine. I was awarded first place at my junior art show in College as well as two honorable mentions once during my freshman year and the other during my sophomore year. I have also entered my work in several art guild associations such as the Delaware art guild as well as the Polk county Florida art show. I will also be showing my work in the Orlando Raw artists' show on Feb. 27th, 2014.
